Barcelona and Madrid are trying to get water to suministre Barcelona's ciry, but the proposition of Barcelona dislike to Madrid politics. Barcelona at the mometn have the water reserves in the minimum. The minister Francesc Baltasar wanted to divert water from the River Segre on a temporary basis. Madrid refusal it directly, also the Generalitat's Segre give an opposition posture. Other alternatives are bring water by ship from Almeria, but Andalucia also oposed, and demanding the plan be stopped. Barcelona is making a desalination plant, is scheduled to be ready to go come April 2009.
In my opinion Barcelona is abusing the reserves of water of other provinces and probably they should make plans to save the water.
